This year’s celebrations might be a tad bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but no less enjoyable. That being said, the Consulate General of Grenada in Ghana wishes to invite you to partake in the many virtual celebrations being planned for Independence and to share the information with your family and friends.  Let us continue to take pride in our nationalism to Grenada.  If anyone has additional celebrations and would like to share it with us, please do not hesitate to do so.

Implementation of Testing Fee for Travel to Grenada

St. George’s: December 29, 2020: Effective January 1, 2021, all arriving travellers to Grenada are required to pay a one-time <strong>$150.00 USD</strong> ($410.00 XCD) Coronavirus (COVID-19) test fee, which will cover their day-four test or any test taken while on Island.  (read more…)

Should you need to wear a GPS Wrist Band while in Grenada, there is also a $55.00 USD fee for this.  Both the COVID-19 Test Fee and GPS Wrist Band Fee may be paid online before travelling to Grenada.  Should you so wish, please visit www.pay.gov.gd to do so.  (Please keep your receipt from payment with you when you travel.)  If you would rather pay upon arrival, you may also do so.

Consular Services for the Holiday Season

For the Holiday Season, the Consulate General of Grenada, Ghana will be closed from Friday, 25th December 2020 until 3rd January 2021.  The Office will re–open to the public on Monday, 4th January 2021 @ 10:00 a.maccording to our COVID19 Protocols.

The deadline for submission and receipt of applications for Consular Services, including Passport Renewals, Visas, Verification of Documents etc. by the Consulate, will be Thursday, 10th December 2020.  Applications received after this date are not guaranteed to be processed and returned before the closure of the Consulate on Thursday, 24th December 2020 @ 2:00 p.m.

Visitors, please visit your page for your consular needs and if visiting Grenada during the Holiday Season, please remember the last day for arriving in Grenada in time to be out of quarantine to spend Christmas Day with your family/friends is Thursday, 17th December 2020.

REMEMBER:

1)        You need your Pure Safe Travel Authorization Certificate to be able to board your flight.  Complete your online application in order receive your Certificate.
2)        Be certain your accommodations for your quarantine are on the Approved Quarantine Locations.  Visit our Tourism website to make your reservation.
3)        Make sure your negative PCR test results are no more than Seventy–two (72) hours from your arrival in Grenada.   When to get Tested.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update from Consulate

The Consulate General of Grenada, Ghana continues to monitor the situation regarding the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the United States.

“To minimize the risks within our community, we are adhering to the appropriate protocols and continue to make the safety and well-being of our nationals and our staff a priority.

Given the growing health concerns related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, we are suspending in-person consular services with the exception of First-Time Grenadian born Applicants with urgent travel itineraries. If you need to renew your passport, please do so via courier or certified mail.

These decisions may change based on the day-to-day developments regarding the spread of the virus, so please check our
